Rain on dry ground

It’s been raining all day today, and we desperately need the rain

But it’s still raining. And I still wish it wasn’t!

It’s funny because life’s a bit like that

We have time when everything’s going okay, and we don’t sort a notice it

Then we have difficult times

And gosh, do we notice them!

But if it wasn’t for the hard bits, perhaps we wouldn’t appreciate the good bits

That’s a hard thing to write because none of us want the bad bits

I try to think of there being a lesson in everything, and a reason for everything. But sometimes the bad bits are just too difficult

So we’re back to living in the present

Enjoy life one hour at a time. And if you can’t do that, enjoy life five minutes at a time.

Find the good thing in the now

The future will take care of itself if you find a way to live in the present
