Holiday time

We’re about to start the summer holiday season, just as it gets hot and sunny in the UK


I’m not really a holiday person


I have dogs who are very important to me because they’re consistent and devoted. And I have a garden that I care a lot about - right now it’s absolutely stunning - I’m very lucky


So it wouldn’t really be great going away


I think what I like is the idea of living every day - rather than the idea that we only relax and have fun when we leave our “normal” life


I see so many people spending their day-to-day lives waiting for the next trip away.


If you like going away, it’s obviously a nice thing to do. But you need to live every day too, not just the odd week or two when you’re “on holiday”
