Dreams

Life is a series of natural and spontaneous changes. Don't resist them; that only creates sorrow. Let reality be reality. Let things flow naturally forward in whatever way they like

That's today's quote - I'm afraid I don't know where it comes from.

It sounds so easy doesn't it? Just let things be - it is what it is.

But sometimes we cling to a dream.

We know, inside, that the dream is just a dream, but we have still dreamt it. We desperately want to believe it.

So letting go is really really hard. Yes it causes sorrow, resisting the truth that is popping out, because we don't want to hear that truth.

The only thing is, once you have noticed that you are resisting knowing that, you are beginning to win. Once you have noticed that it is a dream, the thing you are trying to hang on to, then you are on the path to accepting its a dream.

And letting go requires that you accept it as a dream first.

So hang on to that dream for a final moment. Embrace it! It was a great dream. Hold tight to it. Because when you have done that you have accepted it as a dream.

And then you can let the dream waft away and be replaced by another. Dreams aren't bad until they become bad.

So don't stop dreaming. Dreams power imagination. Dreams give us something to work towards. Dreams give us strength to dare.

But do notice when you start to think they are real when you know deep down inside that they really aren't.

That's the key to dreams.
